Generational curses can only continue when no one decides to break the cycle. Change maker Ludy Saintil is in the trenches breaking generational cycles and using the gifts God bestowed upon her to service others.
Ludy was born in Palm Beach and raised in Pompano Beach. She grew up with her mother and stepfather. One day, after Ludy’s parents had a heated argument, her mother told her that her step father was not her biological father. She met her biological father 2 years later, when she was 13 years old.
”We didn’t have much but my mother made it work,”Ludy said about her upbringing.
From an early age, Ludy knew that she would one day change the world. When she graduated from college, she tried to find her purpose. That’s when she met Terri Savelle Foy—a woman who shifted her perspective and helped her realize that her dreams could be bigger than her pain.
Once she adapted the mindset that she could have a child-like faith, she was able to leap over her past traumas.
“When you’re surrounded by people who aren’t doing well, you’re likely to succumb to that. My imagination was my escape,” Ludy said.
Once she realized she was a woman of purpose, she stopped clubbing and turned that energy into productivity. She told God that if He was going to use her to serve the world, she would have to use her personality. That’s when she began hosting weddings, which gave her the opportunity to use her humor to bring light to a sacred moment for couples. She has since become a sought after wedding host in her community. and live a purposeful life.
Then, Ludy embarked on another calling; she started the “Heart 2 Heart Show” to touch more lives. The show aims to help individuals access their pain points, heal, attract abundance and live a purposeful life. She created a safe place to welcome a healthy dialogue about topics that are not usually discussed openly. In her first event, 50 people were present in the room. But the room couldn’t accommodate the mass crowd she wanted to reach. She also went live on Facebook, where 5,000 people tuned in.
Just by stepping into her purpose, she was able to bring meaning to others’ lives, and has authored a book called “Overcoming Matters of the Heart.“ God can take your ordinary life and make it extra ordinary. He can take your fragmented soul and make it whole,” she said. She’s been seen on Beacon TV, and three times on Black Hair Magazine.
In 2014, a young lady emailed Ludy to express to her that she was supposed to be in a hotel with someone she didn’t know, but ended up not going because she remembered what Ludy said about the danger of creating a soul tie with someone out of wedlock. Another time, a man thanked Ludy for helping him gain perspective, after learning that the reason he found it hard to break free from a toxic relationship was because of a soul tie. These testimonials reassured Ludy that she was using her pain to give someone else freedom.
Ludy believes that we should not carry the weight of life alone. Instead, we should allow God to help us get through trials and tribulations. “When we try to do things on our own, we will never find rest in our souls,” she said.
”I met Ludy 4 years ago while working out. We had no idea that we had mutual friends. We immediately ‘clicked’ with each other. We would converse whenever we saw each other while working out. We eventually built a friendship that continues to grow even until this day. Ludy is the type of friend that will make you laugh until you cry, pray for you and tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear. Ludy is a true Woman of God that isn't ashamed to let the world know about our God, “Nichola Cherelle said.
Nicola added, ”2019 was the absolute worse year of my life. I suffered from depression and wanted to give up on life. Ludy NEVER left my side. Whether it was a visit, phone call, text message or prayer, she was there through all and I don't take that our friendship for granted. Genuine friends like that are hard to come by and I thank God for our friendship. Some people are in your life for a season, reason or a lifetime. Ludy is definitely here for a lifetime.”
Although Ludy dedicates her life to empowering and bringing light to others’ lives, she also went through a dark moment last year. She was homeless for a short period. Although Ludy was facing difficulty, she didn’t let it show. She wore her beautiful attire and smile every time she hosted a wedding. But with God’s grace, she was able to buy a home.
Through the ups and downs, Ludy found her calling in being of service to others. She beams with purpose. In the near future, she wants to write more books, give back to the homeless, and intends to work hard so her children can grow up educated, well grounded, and never have to struggle. She wants to be remembered as someone who was as not only wealthy, but served people and helped break generational cycles.
